Abstract

1339165 Securing bobbins on spindles SPRING MILLS Inc 19 April 1971 [19 Nov 1970] 22403/71 Heading DID A spindle 10 includes a generally flat seating surface 13, extending generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of said spindle, on which is positioned a magnetic bobbin seater comprising a magnetized member 22 (or 22') and a non-magnetized member 24 (or 24') so arranged that it establishes a magnetic circuit passing through the member 22, through part of the spindle 10 and through the lower metallic portion F of a bobbin B. The embodiment shown in Fig. 3 includes a pole piece 26. The direction of polarization for each of the members 22, 22' is shown by the double headed arrows N-S in Figs. 3, 5 respectively.
