Abstract

1338327 Connecting wires and cables MINNESOTA MINING & MFG CO 26 July 1971 [27 July 1970] 34997/71 Heading H2E A connector for wire conductors comprises a resilient contact element 60 with two slotted spaced legs 66, 67, each slot 64 in leg 66 being wider than and aligned with a respective slot 63 in the leg 67. The element is a sheet folded to U -shape about lines 65 and is retained between ribs 22 on the inside wall of the insulating cap 20 of an insulating body 30 which has wire receiving channels 31 with sharp wire anchoring comer projections 32. The cap 20 snap-closes on the body by way of extensions 21 fitting into depressions 35, while in the open position it is held in place by the extensions 21 pressing against side walls 34 of the body.
