Abstract

1353026 Two-part couplings PRESSAC Ltd 3 Sept 1971 [3 Sept 1970] 42142/70 Heading H2E A contact pad for use with tape cables comprises a web portion 1 formed with a shallow dome 2 and limb portions 3 having serrated edges 4 for penetrating the cable insulation. The pads are crimped to the cable in such a manner that the ends 4 are bent so as to contact the cable conductors. Such a pad may be used to connect a wire or tag to the tape cable or a tape cable and may have a series of such pads attached to it (Fig. 2, not shown) to enable the cable end to be plugged into a connector of the type disclosed in Specification 1,353,025.
