Abstract

1337440 Floating platforms DRESSER INDUSTRIES Inc 23 Oct 1970 [29 Oct 1969 17 March 1970] 15193/73 Divided out of 1337439 Heading E1H [Also in Division F2] A floating offshore platform comprises a workdeck 12 supported by telescopic columns 28 on a pair of ballastable buoyancy pontoons 20. The platform is provided with further buoyancy means 24, and an apertured stabilising plate extends between the pontoons 20. Hydraulic dampers 60 reduce relative oscillations between the two portions of the telescopic columns and a double rachet mechanism Fig. 8 (not shown) controls the telescoping movement' of the columns.
