Abstract

1336141 Valves BARKING BRASSWARE CO Ltd 1 Dec 1970 [31 Dec 1969] 63493/69 Heading F2V A bath shower diverter valve in a mixer fitting comprises a disc 10 normally biased by a spring 19 against a seat 9 to close a shower outlet 14 and permit flow of hot and cold water from a chamber 6 to a bath outlet 17 via seat 12 and passage 18. A push-button 27 normally biased to its outer position by a spring 23 may be depressed to move the disc 10 against seat 12 to close outlet 17 and permit flow from chamber 6 to outlet 14, the water pressure holding the disc against the seat 12 when the button is released. The valve stem 20 is shown sliding in a hollow stem of the push-button but may alternatively slide in a bore of an upstanding part of the member J2 screwed into the fitting. The valve disc may be pivoted to the valve stem.
