1335507 Turret lathes BERDICHEVSKY STANKOSTROITELNY ZAVOD "KOMSOMOLETS" USSR 11 May 1972 22225/72 Heading B3T In a turret lathe in which the turret is mounted on carriage displaceable along the bed by a rack and pinion, the rack and pinion 10, 13 is mounted above the carriage 5 with the rack secured to the top of the carriage with its pitch line on the axis B of a tool mounting hole in the turret whenever a tool is in the operative position. The drive to the rack and pinion is effected from a main motor 14 via shafts 16 and 18 and via gear reducer units 15, 17 which include spur gears and a worm and wheel unit operable by way of a clutch 22.
