Abstract

1335494 Knitting-machines G BILLI & C SpA 19 April 1971 [10 April 1970] 25349/71 Heading D1C A yarn feeding arrangement in a circular machine comprises groups of yarn guides 87, 89 at two adjacent feeds mounted on a common axis 85 and controlled by at least one but preferably two coaxial pattern drums. The arrangement is supported by a block 9 pivotally mounted on the machine frame about an axis 7. The pattern drums, one of which 57, is shown are either free on a common axle and independently rocked, or fixed to it and rocked in unison. The, or each rocking arrangement comprises a ratchet 61 fixed to the drum and turned by a pawl 65 pivoted on a member 75. The bifurcated end of the member is oscillated by a lever controlled by a bowden cable. The bits 57B of the drum act on the arms 87B of the guides.
