Abstract
1335390 Printing - by stencils STORK AMSTERDAM NV 28 Oct 1970 51213/70 Heading B6C [Also in Division D1] Apparatus for strengthening a web-shaped fleece 2 of fibrous material by applying a paste or emulsion containing stiffening agents comprises one or more thin-walled cylindrical screen stencils 3, 4, each provided with an inner squeegee 5 and supporting means to move the fleece vertically past the stencils, each stencil being drivingly rotated in the direction of advance of the web and at least partially causing this advance. A vertical drying tunnel 6 contains means to dry or heat the "printed" web while reducing the effective weight of the web by means of vertically directed currents of air. In a second embodiment only one stencil is used, supported by a counter-roller, in combination with a conveyer belt.
