Abstract

1276370 Screen printing apparatus J M G R BILLIET 19 Sept 1969 [25 Sept 1968 12 Sept 1969] 46368/69 Heading B6C Textiles 1 such as carpets are screen printed or dyed whilst passing through an apparatus where a rotating cylinder 2 located within an endless band stencil 4 presses the textile against a support, the ink or dye for the printing or dyeing being supplied to the nip between the cylinder and the stencil from a funnel-shaped reservoir 12. In Fig. 1 the support comprises a second stencil, ink reservoir and cylinder such that the textile material 1 is printed or dyed on both sides simultaneously. Multicolour printing is effected by passing the material 1 through a succession of printing stations utilizing the apparatus of Fig. 1. The upper and lower colour reservoirs are connected by a conduit 17 as shown in Fig. 3.
