Abstract
1334913 Cigarette lighters RONSON PRODUCTS Ltd 10 Aug 1972 [9 Sept 1971] 42216/71 Heading F4F A gas-fuelled cigarette lighter has a flam<SP>e</SP> height adjuster which is controlled by an arm 13 fixed to it and having a projecting end 14, the end extending behind a slot 15 in the ignition actuating lever 3 when the lever is inoperative so that accidental movement of the adjuster is prevented. When the actuating lever 3 is moved to operating position, the end 14 of the arm 13 passes through the slot 15 and is accessible for adjustment of the flame. In an alternative construction the actuating lever 3 (Figs. 4 to 6, not shown) lies along the top of the lighter perpendicular to the burner axis and the operating arm 13 of the adjuster is cranked. The lever 3 is biased (e.g. by a spring) to inoperative position.
