1334263 Cross wedge rolling VYZKUMNY USTAV TVARECICH STROJU A TECHNOLOGIE TVARENI 11 June 1971 [19 June 1970] 27557/71 Heading B3M A tool 1 for a cross wedge rolling machine produces a non-symmetrical profile on a workpiece 5, the tool either being planar and mounted on a flat platen, or curved and mounted on a roll. The wedge surfaces 2 and 3 of the tool are inclined at different angles # and # 1 to the tool's longitudinal axis 4. The angles correspond to the lengths L and L 1 of shank portions formed on the workpiece. The tool may sever the workpiece from bar stock 6 after the rolling step.
