Abstract

1334246 Rinsing apparatus STEINER CO LAUSANNE SA 17 Nov 1970 [25 Nov 1969] 54686/70 Heading D1A Apparatus for rinsing wash solution from fabric articles 675a, 675b comprises a pair of conveyor belts 780, 790 between which the articles are carried and at least one pressure chamber 800 in which a mist of gas, such as steam, and rinse liquid, such as water, is generated, the mist being expelled through a nozzle with side walls 824 through the conveyor and fabric articles into a collecting vessel 881. As shown steam is supplied to a manifold 807 (Fig. 7) of each pressure chamber and passes through a hole 810 into a chamber 815 of each pressure chamber where it entrains water from a manifold 860 overflowing a wall 885 before passing to the collecting vessel from which the resulting liquid is supplied to the adjacent manifold 860 or to a drain. After passing three rinsing units the fabric is sprayed with bleach from a pipe 900 before passing a further rinsing unit. (For Figure see next page)
