Abstract
1332754 Glass fibre laminates REICHHOLDALBERT-CHEMIE AG 19 April 1971 [5 Feb 1970(2) 5 Jan 1971 (2)] 21007/71 Heading B5N [Also in Division C3] Laminates are prepared using a moulding, impregnating or coating composition curable by U.V. irradiation comprising an unsaturated polyester resin obtained by polycondensation from α, #-unsaturated dicarboxylic acids and/ or their anhydrides with polyhydric alcohols employed in a molar excess, one or more copolymerisablo monomers, a stabilizer, and, as photoinitiator, (a) 0À1 to 4 per cent by weight of one or more benzoin-ethers, (b) 0À1 to 20 percent by weight of one or more organic esters of phosphorous acid of general formula and (c) 0À05 to 2 per cent by weight of one or more organic derivatives of phosphine of general formula wherein R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are identical or different and represent aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, aromatic, araliphatic or heterocyclic radicals, provided that at least one of the radicals R 1 , R 2 or R 3 is an aromatic radical, the percentages by weight being based on the total weight of the unsaturated polyester resin and coploymerisable monomer(s). In the Example 22 two glass fibre mats are laminated onto a sheet of plywood and in Example 33 two glass fibre mats are laminated onto a polished aluminium sheet and then removed.
