Abstract

1329746 Endless conveyers XEROX CORP 10 Dec 1970 [12 Dec 1969] 58702/70 Heading B8A [Also in Division G2] In an endless conveyer of the type comprising an endless bead chain 50 running in and conveying material along a flexible conduit 68, 70, the bead chain is wrapped around a drive drum 40 about two and a half times. The drum is formed of a central core 52 of rigid material with side flanges 54 and has an outer sleeve 56 of friction material, e.g. urethane. Guides in the form of fingers 62 retain the wraps of the chain separate from one another.
