Abstract
1319738 Endless conveyers MOLEDETH DEVELOPMENT CO Ltd 2 July 1971 [5 Aug 1970] 31191/71 Heading B8A In an endless conveyer comprising two endless belts 1, 2 between which material may be conveyed, the belts are urged towards each other by fluid pressure. In the embodiment shown the belts 1, 2 are arranged to move in and close the open side of respective channel shaped members 12, 11 to which pressurized air is supplied through pipes 17, 16. Seals 13 are provided at the edge of the channels to bear on the belts. In an alternative embodiment, Fig. 7 (not shown), the belts (1) (2) pass through a single box (22) supplied with pressurized air and rollers (23-28) co-operates with the idler pulleys (3), (4) over which the belts pass to effect a seal of the ends of the box. The idler pulleys may have a recess in the surface, Fig. 4 (not shown), to accommodate the belts passing thereover or the pulleys Fig. 6 (not shown) may have rubber insert (21) to accommodate the belts.
