Abstract

1327474 Cabinets; multi-deck stands ARMSTRONG CORK CO 19 Aug 1970 39938/70 Headings A4B, A4H, A4U Modular furniture is constructed from units 20, 40, 60, 70; unit 20 is H shaped and comprises vertical parallel walls 22, 24 connected by a horizontal portion 26, the upper and lower surfaces 25, 29 of the walls having complementary sockets 27 and tongues 30 so that a plurality of units 20 can be vertically stacked Fig.15 (not shown); unit 40 is a cannister open at its front and has a tongue 46 on its lower surface that can be received in a socket 34 in portion 26 of unit 20 Fig.7 (not shown); unit 60 is a cap provided with tongues 63 adapted to fit in the sockets 27; and unit 70 is a drawer provided with followers 90 for slideable engagement with tracks 80 in the cannister 40 Fig. 5 (not shown). A modified cannister 300 is twice the height of cannister 40 and receives two drawers 70 or a shelf 100 and a pair of hinged doors 102 Fig. 10, 11 (not shown). Modified cannisters and drawers are disclosed Figs. 19, 20 (not shown). All the parts may comprise plastics. (For Figures see next page)
