Abstract
1326935 Moulding frozen fish "NORDSEE" DEUTSCHE HOCHSEEFISCHEREI GmbH 7 Sept 1970 [12 Sept 1969] 42758/70 Heading B5A Deep frozen fish e.g. at -10‹ C. or less, is subdivided into unit portions 5 by the displacement thereof, by a piston 12, from within a chamber 1 into a plurality of moulding channels 5, closed by an end plate 6, from which channels 5 they are ejected after horizontal or vertical displacement away from the chamber 1. In the described embodiment, the fish is subdivided during the displacement by the cutting edges 7 of tapering passages 8, in alignment with the channels 5 from which the ejection occurs by an ejector 11 in the position shown in Fig. 2, as further channels 5 are being filled in alignment with the passages 8. Specified moulding temperatures are maintained by forced circulation gaseous or liquid cooling jackets 9, and the moulding pressures on the piston 12 are specified and measured by a gauge. The cutting edges 7 may extend either, or both, vertically and horizontally, and may either be arranged in the same plane or may be staggered to facilitate cleaning.
