Abstract
1,224,886. Moulding refrigerator cabinets. DUAL JET REFRIGERATION CO. 4 March, 1968 [16 March, 1967], No. 10404/68. Heading B5A. [Also in Division F4] In a mould assembly 110, Fig. 8, for the construction of a refrigerated enclosure (see Division F4), which includes a wall portion defining both a chamber for the goods to be refrigerated and a plurality of separate passages for the circulation of air streams, the assembly includes inner and outer walls 114, 112 resting on base members 116, 118, inner and outer metal liners 122, 120 forming the outer surfaces of the wall portion, and passage-forming core members confined between and spaced from the liners. Plastics foam material is fed to the mould space and when it has solidified the core members are removed. To facilitate the said removal, at least some of them are formed in unattached sections, Figs. 12-15, not shown, at least one of which sections abuts a mould wall so that said one section can be removed first. The core members may be as in Fig. 9, with tapered portions 132, 134, various portions being interconnected by pins 170.
