Abstract

1326076 Delivering sheets CANON KK 27 Aug 1970 [30 Aug 1969 12 Dec 1969 (2)] 41398/70 Heading B8R To facilitate the removal of a copy sheet P fron the surface of the image carrying drum 1 of an electrophotographic copying machine, the sheet is fed into the drum such that an edge thereof passes between a belt 14 and the surface of the impression cylinder 13. The edge of a sheet leaving the nip of drum 1 and cylinder 13 is thus guided away from the drum and passes between the belt 14 and a roller 15 on to a delivery guide 21 and conveyer 12. The belt 14 may be driven (as shown) or stationary. In a further embodiment roller 15 is dispensed with and the edge of a sheet leaving the nip of drum 1 and cylinder 13 is guided by belt 14 around the periphery of cylinder 13 until removed by a stripper plate.
