Abstract
1325022 Fluid pressure apparatus ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 24 Nov 1970 [28 Jan 1970] 55862/70 Heading F1P [Also in Division F2] In an hydraulic installation comprising constant delivery pumps 2, 3 driven by a prime mover 1 and delivering pressure medium to consumer circuits 4, 5, a pressure relief valve 13 has a switch-over pressure which is varied in accordance with the combined pressures in the circuits 4, 5, the pressure at which the relief valve opens being reduced in accordance with increase in the sum of the pressures delivered by the pumps 2, 3. The relief valve 13 is fed through a branch conduit 12 from circuit 4 and is acted on by a spring 14 on one side and a spring 19 on the other side, the spring 19 bearing on the free end face 18 of a differential piston 8 having two diameters 9, 10 which are acted upon by pressure medium in conduits 6, 11 connected to the circuits 4, 5. A conduit 15 connects the output from valve 13 to a reservoir 16. In order to protect valve 13 from overheating in the event of large quantities of pressure medium passing through it, a conduit 23 is connected between the output and a throttle valve 17 in conduit 15 to supply fluid to operate a valve 21, against the action of a spring 24, so that pressure medium in the overloaded circuit 4 may pass through conduit 20 to a reservoir 22. A similar arrangement of relief valves may be provided in circuit 5.
