Abstract
1347056 Fluid-pressure servomotor systems CONSTANTIN RAUCH 26 July 1971 [5 Aug 1970] 34899/71 Heading G3P Two hydraulic pumps 1, 2 driven by a common means are each provided with an output regulator responsive to the fluid pressures in both delivery lines 3, 4. The pump 1 has a servomotor 5 controlled by a pilot valve 11 responsive to the pressure between a fixed restrictor 15 supplied from the delivery line 3 and a variable restrictor 17; a further variable restrictor 24 responsive to the pressure in the delivery line 4 is arranged in parallel with the restrictor 17. A similar arrangement controls a servomotor 6 for the pump 2 in accordance with the pressures in the lines 3, 4. If an increase in pressure occurs, for example, in the delivery line 4 the restrictor 24 increases the pressure applied to the pilot valve 11 to reduce the output of the pump 1. Relief valves 21, 22 may each be replaced by a pressure responsive valve serving as a further control valve for its associated servomotor which is connected through a mechanical linkage to a further variable restrictor in parallel with the restrictor 23 or 24. The arrangement is such that when maximum delivery pressure is reached in line 4, for example, the further variable restrictor is opened to increase the output in the line 3 from the pump 1. In both embodiments each servomotor is connected to its pilot valve by a feed-back spring having a characteristic which keeps the product of pressure and rate of flow constant.
