Abstract
1324747 Incinerators; controlling air supply AIR PREHEATER CO Inc 19 April 1971 [15 April 1970] 26969/71 Heading F4B In an incinerator having a door 14 and a secondary combustion chamber 25, thermocouples 56, 54 in the secondary and primary combustion chambers are linked to controllers 37, 39 controlling the air supply to the primary combustion chamber 11 and secondary combustion chamber 25. The primary air controller 37 can be switched to manual control, and a switch 52 operated by the opening of door 14 cuts off the primary air supply when the door is opened. A water spray 62 in primary chamber 11 responds to a thermocouple in the primary combustion chamber or to thermocouple 64 in the chamber 25 to operate on over heating. The thermocouple 56 in the secondary combustion chamber is usually set to override the thermocouple 54 in the primary combustion chamber.
