Abstract
1324286 Discharge apparatus CERBERUS AG 23 July 1971 [23 July 1970] 34712/71 Heading H1D An ionization type sensor for a fire alarm comprises a housing in three separable parts; a first part 1 forming a socket connectible by contacts 6, 8 to the second part which contains a radioactive material 23 and electronic circuitry 24 and, by virtue of electrode 21, together with the third part 27, constitutes an ionization chamber. A reference ionization chamber is formed by cover 18 and electrode 21 and contains radioactive material 22. A switch 38 renders the sensor inoperable when the third part 27 is removed. Circuitry including transistors is built into the housing.
