Abstract

1324273 Swimming pools M A MAY 7 Sept 1971 [7 Sept 1970] 42789/70 Heading A4N [Also in Division B1] Floating material is carried from a swimming pool in a stream of water which flows into box 1 over weir 4, which is hinged at 3 and buoyant to adjust to varying water level, the water passing through a strainer in well 5 and being returned to the pool through filtration plant. An inlet valve 13 controlled by float 14 delivers make-up water to box 1 thereby maintaining a constant level in the pool. Opening 6 is normally closed by a cover and provides access whereby retained material may be removed from the strainer. In Figs. 3, 4 (not shown) box 1 includes side chambers (17,18) which contain chlorinereleasing tablets to chlorinate the water.
