Abstract
1324011 Valves WELLMAN INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS Ltd 6 July 1971 [10 June 1970] 28056/70 Heading F2V Operation of a main pneumatic valve disposed within a block 12, is effected by means of a solenoid-operated pilot valve disposed within a block 10, the two blocks being releasably interconnected by a two-part connector, a first part of which, (26, Fig. 2, not shown), is contained in block 10 and a second part 14 of which itself has releasably connected thereto a connector block 16. The second part 14 is secured to the main valve block 12 by bolts 24. The first and second connector parts and the connector block 16 have pins and sockets 52, 54 and 22, 20 which co-operate with one another to complete the required electrical connections between supply leads 18 and the solenoid. The electrical connection between the solenoid and the first part of the two-part connector is also releasable. The pins and sockets also serve the purpose of retaining together the blocks 10, 14, and 16. Solenoid block 10 contains a pilot valve member (32, Fig. 2, not shown) which controls flow from a passage 28 to a 'passage 40, the valve member being carried by an armature movable within a winding (30).
