Abstract

1323572 Stoppers &c CEBAL GP 6 July 1970 [9 July 1969] 32639/70 Heading B8T A plastics closure 2 is moulded in position in a metal can cover 1 to provide a hermetic seal. The closure 2 comprises a lip 6 which, during closure removal, rocks about a thinned portion a towards a rigid ridge 7 which may be replaced by a central thickened portion, an integral tab 9 facilitating closure removal. Notches may be formed in the upper and/or lower surfaces of the closure 2 to increase the flexibility of the central area 3. In a modification, two closures joined by a bridge are used to effect closure of two apertures.
