Abstract

1323110 Winding and reeling FORGES & TREFILERIES DE CONFLANDEY 29 Dec 1970 [8 Jan 1970] 61586/70 Heading B3E Small coils 2, Fig. 1, of metal or other wire, held in a cage 2, are formed on a rotary table machine, Fig. 3, having a coil winding station I, a cage bending station II and a discharge station IV. At station I the coil is wound by a winding device on a mandrel 7; either the device or the mandrel can be moved axially of the coil, by means of a jack or an electronic device, during its winding. A dispensing device 10 supplies labels 3 to the winding station. Rotary table 5 then moves the coil to station II where a cross arm member 2, supplied from a device 9 to either station I or station II, is bent about the coil to partly form the cage and this is bent to its final shape at station III. A suspension ring 4 may be positioned around the cross arm member at station II. If this ring is not required, stations II and III may be combined together into a single station. An arm 29 at station IV removes the coil and cage 30 to a ramp 31.
