Abstract

1322861 Coating apparatus MOLINS Ltd 11 May 1972 [11 Feb 1971] 4496/71 Heading B2L Apparatus for applying an adhesive to a surface comprises a nozzle 16 having a spring urged ball leaving 16A which can be moved upwardly by the surface to allow egress of material, the nozzle being mounted on a piston having a broad portion 14A and narrow portion 14B with sealing 'O' rings 14G, 14H therein the piston being downwardly urged into its operative position by air pressure in a cavity 11 and upwardly urged by a return spring 21. A stop 19 is provided to prevent the piston from being lowered too far and an internal passage 14E carries adhesive from supply pipe 15 to the nozzle 16.
