[Class 73] In a machine as described in Specification 619,261, [Group XXII], a stream of hot air is applied from a nozzle 34 on to thermo-adhesive tape 2 and cans or other containers 1 to ensure that the adhesive is hot when the pressure is applied. Air from a supply pipe 35 passes through a casing 36 having an element 37 to the nozzle 34. In a modification, the tins 1 pass through a heated casing to the applying position the hot air jet being applied to the tape only.
