Abstract

1322576 Selective retrieval storage systems SILOPARK BREVETTI SA 10 Sept 1970 [16 Sept 1969] 43323/70 Heading B8E A car 8 to be parked is driven on to a platform 4 in the combined loading and unloading position of a station 3. The platform 4 is then collected by the cabin 7 of a conveying device 9 to the completely empty cage 1<SP>1</SP> where it is deposited. During this transfer an empty platform 5 in a reserve position below the loading position is lifted up by hoist 6 into that position so as to be ready to receive another car. In the meantime the conveyer 9 collects an empty platform from a cage such as 1<SP>11</SP> and deposits it in the reserve position. Unloading is the reverse of this procedure. If, however, successive loading and unloading is carried out the reserve position is not used, a newly unloaded platform at the position of platform 4 providing the required empty platform for loading. Separate loading and unloading stations may be provided with respective loading and unloading positions, each with a reserve position, Fig. 4 (not shown). In this ease one only of the positions at the unloading station is provided with a platform and the conveyer can transfer platforms between the reserve positions. (For Figures see next page)
