Abstract
890,747. Unloading wagons by tipping. SIEMAG MASCHINEN-UND STAHLBAU NETPEN G.m.b.H. Dec. 22, 1958 [Dec. 27, 1957], No. 41265/58. Class 78 (4). At a mine cage loading and unloading station, truck-supporting endless conveyers 4, 5 are provided on both sides of the mine shaft 1 and each comprise means for attaching trucks to the conveyers so that they can hang upside down from the lower run, thereby discharging their loads into bunkers 9, 10 situated below the conveyers. In operation, an empty truck is pushed from conveyer 4 by a cam 13 on to the first deck of a multi-deck cage 15, thereby pushing a loaded truck from the deck on to conveyer 5. The next deck is then brought into alignment with the loading level and, simultaneously, the two conveyers are advanced to bring an empty truck on conveyer 4 and a vacant truck receiving place on conveyer 5 into alignment with the cage and the process is repeated until all the loaded trucks have been removed from the cage. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), multi-deck standby cages are provided to contain trucks loaded with debris, these trucks being pushed back on to one of the conveyers, when required, in synchronism with loaded trucks being pushed from the mine cage on to the other conveyer.
