Abstract
1320101 Water boilers SOC D'ETUDE ET DE CONSTRUCTION DE CHAUDIERES EN ACIER SECCACIER 11 May 1971 [5 March 1971] 14167/71 Heading F4A A water boiler using liquid or gaseous fuel has a front chamber 1 operating by radiation and a coaxial rear chamber 2 operating by convection and three spaced annular water chambers 12, 15, 5 which define three concentric flow paths 16, 17, 4 of a flue gas circuit. Front chamber 1 has a front door 25 fitted with a burner, and a closed end-plate 6. The combustion gases pass from chamber 1 along annular passage 16 into rear chamber 2 having a closed end wall 7. Water enters through inlet 18, passes forwardly through inner annular chamber 12, returns along outer annular chamber 15 and is discharged at 21. Simultaneously the incoming water passes from inlet 18 to an annular chamber 5 surrounding the exhaust 4, and therefrom into outer chamber 15. The partition walls 6, 7 are supported by struts 10 and water circulates between them through orifices 9. An anti-explosion valve 30 is fitted to a rear door 26 of the boiler which is surrounded by an outer shell 14 and insulated jacket 28 disposed eccentrically to the boiler axis, Fig. 2 (not shown). In another embodiment, Figs. 3, 4 (not shown), the two heating chambers 1, 2 are formed by separate inner shells (3a, 3b).
