1319932 Electron beam deflecting apparatus PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 26 Jan 1972 [29 Jan 1971] 3624/72 Heading H1D An electrostatic screen of the type described in Specification 1,280,289 comprises one wall 1 formed by one or more conductors wound in a left-handed helix and a second wall 3 wound in a right-handed helix; the component to be screened (e.g. a coil) is disposed between the two walls and causes equal and opposite effects in them. The helices may be multifilarly wound with adjoining conductors earthed at opposite ends, e.g. the conductor 5 is earthed at 9 whilst the conductor 7 is earthed at 11.
