Abstract

1319356 Electromagnet coils ELECTRICAL REMOTE CONTROL CO Ltd 9 Dec 1971 [9 Dec 1970] 58544/70 Heading H1P [Also in Division H2] An electrical coil, e.g. for a motor or relay comprises an insulant bobbin 9 wound with wire 4 connected to end terminals 7, 8 positioned in an annular recess of an end face bounded by annular bands 2, 3, encircling a central bore. A resistive layer is applied as a coaxial ring to the end face; broken by a gap 10 in which terminal 8 is located while its ends are connected to terminals 6, 7. External connections are brought to terminals 6, 8 so that the coil is in series with the resistive layer which may be formed electrically or by spraying or by an adherent sheet. An insulated heat sink for the resistive layer may be provided.
