1319110 Forms of wood BORDEN Inc 15 July 1970 34271/70 Heading B5L [Also in Division C3] Plywood may be made by bonding the veneers together with an adhesive solution comprising only a urea-aldehyde or urea-melaminealdehyde resin and a water soluble salt in amount 1-35 wt. per cent of the solids, the salt being an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal halide or a mixture thereof containing no more than one bromide (see Division C3). In Example 17 5 white fir veneers and 2 birch face veneers are bonded to form plywood using a ureaformaldehyde resin solution containing wheat flour, soluble blood, an antifoaming agent and NaCl.
