1318946 Electric storage heaters ATELIERS DE CONSTRUCTIONS ELECTRIQUES DE CHARLEROI 3 Nov 1970 [4 Nov 1969] 52205/70 Heading F4U An electric storage heater comprises a receptacle 1, sheathed heating elements 6 arranged horizontally in two or more planar arrays, refractory bricks 7 on one or either side of each array forming a core and U-shaped spacers 9 each embracing at least one brick and having ends serving to hold the bricks in position relative to the inside walls of the receptacle and to support the heating elements. In the form of Fig. 1 there are two planar arrays and three columns of bricks 7. The spacers 9 each embrace a brick in the centre column and provide horizontal flanges to support the elements 6. A fan blows air between the columns and out through opening 5. The receptacle has an insulated lining 2.
