Abstract

1318505 Lawn sprinklers WOLF-GERATE GmbH 17 June 1971 [22 July 1970] 28518/71 Heading AID [Also in Division B2] A sprinkler and supply pipe arrangement for mounting in the ground comprises a cylindrical housing 1 having an inlet with a screw thread 2 which coopeartes with a corresponding thread of a supply pipe, an upper cup-shaped part 4 fixed to the housing and preferably having projections 4', and a dome or coneshaped member 3 which faces the upper opening of the supply pipe so that on turning the part 4 the housing turns about the supply pipe and the water flow cross-section between the member 3 and the supply pipe is altered thus regulating the flow. A spring 7 may be provided which acts on the base of tube 5 carrying nozzle 6 such that when the water supply is cut off the tube is retracted below ground level (as shown in broken lines), and when it is turned on the pressure forces the tube out of the ground against the action of the spring 7 (as shown in bold lines).
