Abstract

1318176 Cycle control mechanisms T CAMPAGNOLO 19 April 1971 [13 April 1970] 26802/71 Heading B7E A cycle gear change device comprises a cylindrical housing 2 having a clip 3 for motmting the device on a cycle frame connected therewith by bolts 4 which also retain a plate 5 rigid with the housing, the plate having extending therefrom a pin 6 on which are pivotally mounted a control lever 8 and cover 7 riveted together at 13, the rivet being slit to retain the head end 14 of a control cable 15 and the plate 5 being provided with an end stop 17 for the cable sheath 16 and further stops 18, 19, to limit the range of rotation of the lever 8. The lever 8 and cover 7 are secured on the pin 6 by nut 10, and spring washer 11. An arrow 20 co-operates with marks on the housing 2 to indicate the gear selected.
