Abstract

131,768. Moor, E. N. Sept. 24, 1918. Small-arms combined with truncheons; barrels; sights.-Consists of a policeman's truncheon adapted to be attached to a pistol or the like to form an extension of the barrel. In the construction shown, the truncheon has a lining tube 5, and is secured to a barrel 1 by a split sleeve 9 having an enlarged tapered end which, when the sleeve is screwed on to a tube 7 fixed to the lining tube 5 is forced into a ferrule 10 at the end of the truncheon, thereby forcing the split ends of the sleeve 9 on to the barrel. At the other end the club part 11 of the truncheon is secured by a nut 6. A foresight 17 comprising a pin 17 and spring 18, and a backsight 15 are provided on the truncheon.
