Abstract

1317305 Thermal switches OTTER CONTROLS Ltd and J C TAYLOR 6 July 1971 [6 July 1970] 32705/70 Heading H1N A thermostatically controlled electric panel heater system comprises two separate heating elements in a panel each element being controlled by a thermostat, the two thermostats switching off the elements at different temperatures and being interconnected so that their switch off temperatures can be adjusted simultaneously and by the same amount. The thermostats could be two similar adjustable thermostats having their adjustable parts, e.g. their control knobs, ganged together for adjustment by a single control or they could take the form of a single switching unit comprising two switches each similar to that described in Specification 774,911 with their bimetal actuating members joined together or formed integrally from a common bimetal sheet with a common bridging portion and adjusting spindle.
