Abstract

1316188 Mixing flowing fluids E P SCRAGG 19 June 1970 [23 June 1969] 44508/71 Divided out of 129120 Heading B1C [Also in Division B8] In the device of Specification 1296120 for dosing a flowing fluid with a proportionate quantity of additive, the additive is enclosed in a flexible container 46 having a nozzle 46.2 with a spigot 46.4 which may be cut if to expose a bore 46.8, and at least one deformable rib 58 so shaped that it can bend over to decrease its overall diameter and can spring back to engage a casing part when the deforming force ceases; as shown two such ribs 58 engage in grooves 60. The container 46 may be of cotton, sheet plastics material which may be fibre reinforced, paper, neoprene, rubber, or rubber reinforced material.
