Abstract

1,018,829. Dipsticks. BUSH BEACH & SEGNER BAYLEY Ltd. Dec. 29, 1964, No. 52665/64. Heading B8N. A dipstick comprises a tube 3 of translucent material, such as of a clear plastic, having a valve 4 at one end and, at the other end, a foot 2 on which a sample bottle 1 may be detachably secured. The bottle, which may be of plastic, is secured to the foot 2 by means of a male or female screw thread 6 co-operating with a corresponding thread 5 on the foot; alternatively, the bottle may be secured by means of a snap-fit joint or a keyed slot device. The tube may be reinforced by means of a rib bonded to the tube.
