Abstract

1,126,041. Indicating liquid level. L.V.S. (PATENTED PRODUCTS) Ltd. 1 Dec., 1965 [16 Jan., 1965], No. 2036/65. Heading B8N. [Also in Division B1] A dipstick comprises a tube 1 of transparent synthetic plastics material having a valve 5 for controlling the outlet 4 from the tube. The valve is formed with a flat 10, Fig. 2 (not shown), and instead of being formed with a tapered handle 6 may be provided with thumbscrew wings. Alternatively the valve may be in the form of a length of rubber tube fitted over the end of the dipstick and controlled by a pinch clip. The crosssection of the dipstick is square so that different calibrated scales may be provided on the four sides.
