Abstract

1315994 Suction cleaners FIRTH CLEVELAND Ltd. 14 July 1971 [18 July 1970] 34945/70 Heading A4F [Also in Division A5] A suction device, particularly for removing from the hair or scalp powder particles used for dry shampooing, comprises a casing 10 containing a fan 11 driven by an electric motor 18 and discharging air through an outlet opening 22 Fig.2 (not shown) via a filter 12, the casing 10 having a detachable base plate 14 formed with an elongate suction inlet opening 13 and downwardly extending elongate projections 15 along which suction air flows to the opening 13. The projections 15 may consist of brush bristles, or, as illustrated, of hollow teeth each of which has a suction intake opening at or adjacent the top thereof a heater element (23) is disposed in the air flow from the fan 11, and the warmed air may be used for drying the hair or scalp.
