Abstract

1525179 Hair driers GILLETTE CO 30 March 1977 [9 April 1976] 14644/76 Heading A5R [Also in Divisions F4 and H5] In a hand held hair drier having an axial flow fan 3A driven by an electric motor 3 which is arranged downstream of the fan, the electric resistance heating elements 5 surround the motor, there being a heat shield 4 between the elements 5 and the motor. As shown, a further heat shield 10 is provided and (Figure 2, not shown) an unheated draught of air (A) passes through a slot (B) in the outer heat shield 10 and thence through the handle of the drier where it cools other electrical components. A comb or brush may be mounted on the outlet nozzle 13.
