Abstract

Hair curlers 7 are heated by passing a current of hot air longitudinally through the hair curler body the body being provided with an internal element 8 able to accumulate and conserve heat. The apparatus for heating the curler comprises a case having an opening to which a fan heating means such as a hair dryer 10 may be applied, the interior of the case connecting with hot air outlets 3 each of which is provided with a holding member for a hair curler. When the curlers are mounted on the outlets hot air blown into the casing will pass into the curlers and so heat them. Each curler may include a cover 13 for receiving hot air from within the curler and deflecting it to flow in the reverse direction along the outer wall of the curler. In an alternative apparatus (Figures 4, 5) the curlers are supported in grooves and the heated air is passed through a plurality of curlers in series. <IMAGE>
