Abstract

The hair curler comprises an elongate cylindrical curl forming element, and an electrical resistance heater operatively associated with the curl forming element to heat the curl forming element. An electric power source input is associated with the handle. An electric motor within the handle is electrically connected to the power source input. A rotaable drive within the handle is aranged to be driven by the motor. A device detachably connects te curl forming element to the handle to mechanically couple the element to the rotatable drive. It also electrically connects the resistance heate to the electric power source input. A beak is mounted on the curl forming element for engaging hair.
