Abstract

1315612 Print hammer mechanisms DSO "IZOT" 3 Nov 1971 51195/71 Heading B6F An actuating mechanism for a print hammer 8 comprises a snatch roll 25, a lever 5 pivotable about and slidable with respect to a shaft 6, the lever 5 being displaceable by an electromagnet armative lever 15 into co-operative relation with the snatch roll 25. The lever is formed with flanges 21, 22 at its ends, the flange 21 engaging the hammer 8, and the flange 22 being engaged by a projection 23 on the lever 15. During an impression cycle, if the electromagnet remains energized after the lever 5 has engaged the hammer 8, the lever 5 on returning misses the projection 23 to avoid a repeat impression.
