Abstract

1315474 Inflated tents; clamps GOODYEAR TIRE & RUBBER CO 19 April 1971 [9 March 1970] 21559/71 Headings E1A and E2B An inflatable tent, Fig. 7 comprises a cable grid system made up from heavy duty cables 4 and transverse lightweight cables 5 mounted on posts 14 or secured to the ground by tension cables 6, see Figs. 1, 2, 6 and 8 (not shown). The envelope 9 consists of plastics strips 10 which are secured to-gether at their seams and to the cables 5 and anchored to the ground or a peripheral wall. The cables may be interconnected by a clamp connector having sleeves 20, 21, Fig. 10, equipped with jaws 22, 23 acted on by bolts 24, 25 respectively. For minor details concerning either joints between cables, method of erection, materials employed, various shapes of tent and mathematical descideration the Specification and remaining drawings (not shown), should be referred to.
