727,954. Clamp fastenings. WYNMALEN, H., and POWELL, J. W. July 7, 1953, No. 18810/53. Class 44. An adjustable cleat for anchoring a rigid structural member to a tubular support 17 comprises part cylindrical straps 27 adapted to embrace the support on opposite sides of a diametrical plane P of the support, means 21 for adjustably clamping the straps in a fixed position on the support and at least one outwardly or radially directed platform 22 on one of the straps, the platform being adapted to support and anchor an end of a rigid structural member 16 and being located entirely within an angle formed between the diametrical plane P and a similar diametrical plane P<SP>1</SP> at right angles thereto. The straps have apertured end lugs and the clamping means 21 are nuts and bolts. The platforms are welded at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the support and are apertured for bolting to the members 16. As shown four platforms are provided but up to three of these can be omitted.
